Flying To Argentina The Best & Worst

Its 2: 30 am Zoloft interactions on Jan Buy Ditropan Online 12th 2010, i am 10, 000 feet Brand Amoxil Buy Periactin Online 500 mg above sea level, flying somewhere over the Brazilian rain forest on United flight 885 to Buenos Aires, Argentina. As i rub my bloodshot eyes for what seems like the millionth time, i start to look around the rest of the plane and observe how others are dealing with the unique experience that is flying 6,000 miles from home. Some are reading, others are tending to their cranky and loud kids, and others are just staring off into space. The majority however, are fast asleep as anyone at this hour should be, and after all when you are stuck in a confined space for an extended period of time, what better way to pass the time than to close your eyes and drift away to dreamland.

However if you are like me you find it difficult, nay, nearly impossible to fall asleep and stay asleep on air planes. Despite priding myself at being able to fall asleep almost anywhere at anytime, at 6 ft 2 in there simply is not enough room in those tiny coach class seats for me to get into a position to draft off. And having accepted my fate along time ago i make no complaints. However that being the case with my airline flight life, i find it extremely important what other options i have available to keep myself occupied during my long lonely night flights to Argentina.

During this trip however all of the little extras that make your flight less of a burden were not only lacking, but missing entirely. With a terrible dinner in my stomach, and a broken chair under me the in-flight movie service started hours after we took off. I had only a small fuzzy looking tv to look at, that was not adjustable, meaning that the 5ft 5in lady sitting next to me had the TV in the same position i had mine in. Add to that a Movie listing of only 5 movies, and 4 TV shows that only played once, without ever repeating again. Factor in all of this, plus the unfriendly staff, and you end up with one dissatisfied customer.

Now compare this with my two previous journeys to BsAs. The first time I had flown on Tam (Brazil) and LAN (Chile) the second time and i must say i have never had a finer experience on a plane.

To begin with when you first enter the plane the flight attendants off you a selection of beverages, including wine and spirits for free! Then Once the flight begins you have access to an engaging personal entrainment system that is mounted right in front of you (fully adjustable i might add) that will keep you occupied for hours. With over 70 movies and documentaries, another 150 TV episodes from over 30 different shows, countless music stations, and several video games. All of this is available on demand, with full playback options (pause, fast forward, rewind, etc). This means that when i am awake at 2:30 am i can keep my self busy all through the night with more content then i can even watch.

Food and beverage service again shines throughout. The food, while still airplane food, is substantially better than the mush i was served on my United flight. The free drinks continue all throughout the flight, including wine and other alcoholic drinks. All the while being served by flight attendants that are truly ready to serve and are kind. These men and women (mostly) seem as though they would stand next to you and hold your hand if you asked them to, just to make your time on the plane more comfortable.

So what should this account teach you about flying to Argentina? While price is certainly a major issue (all three of these flights ran me around $1,000 USD), the difference in quality is defiantly something that should be taken into consideration. When you are flying a short hop from Chicago to New York for only 2 hours, its not such a big deal, but when you have a 14 hour flight ahead of you it makes a world of difference. In my opinion as a seasoned US – Argentina traveler, i would say try as best as you can to get a flight on any South American airline, with Tam
and LAN being my favorites.
